The University of Saint Francis has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide student loan deferment processing. This service allows for automatic student enrollment status reporting to lenders.
It should not be necessary to submit individual loan deferment forms except in the following cases:
- When the lender requests immediate payment while the student is enrolled.
- If there has been a change in anticipated graduation date.
- When transfer students need to update their information.
The Registrar’s Office facilitates the submission of forms to defer student loan payments. We suggest that you check your current lender’s website for a deferment and/or forbearance form. You can then email, fax or bring the form to our office after completing the borrower portion. You must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours to be eligible for deferment of loans. If it is not included on the form, please include lender contact information.
