Our Registrar’s Office works with the Department of Veteran Affairs to guarantee a smooth transferal of benefits, as well as to certify enrollment records. If you’re a veteran who qualifies for a VA educational benefits program, let us know during your first semester at USF.

Two semester hours of credit in physical education will be granted to veterans honorably discharged after six months of service. Veterans can also submit official copies of military transcripts (e.g. AARTS or College of the Air Force) for credit evaluation.

Students who qualify for the Post 9/11 GI Bill® Benefit and participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program will receive a matching grant from USF. Grants cover half the remaining tuition and fees (after the Post 9/11 GI Bill® benefit amount has been applied) and may not be combined with other institutional aid for tuition and fees.
Each year, USF gives 100 matching grants to undergraduate students and 10 to graduate students. The grant is renewable, provided students maintain a 2.0 GPA and remain in good academic standing.
